Out goes the Chow In comes the Basil and the catters are resting

So, we finally got some cooler temps in North Texas.
In fact, a bit too cold, too soon, for some :)

So, with the new colder weather, someone who has been refusing to stay out in the yard, doesn't want to come in no more. Go figure :)

In comes the Basil plant. Too cold for it, at least right now.
Who knows though? Next week it could be back in the low 80s or some such.
Either way it is fine.
Change is good too.

The catters like to eat and sleep.
Particularly, the seniors.

And, some tired looking Juniors.

Have some laughs!

I think I can honestly say that I have watched all of the Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau.

While writing an Email to a work colleague today, I did use the phrase, "I will have a speaks with him", just to be funny.

Well, it reminded me of the good ole' days, when a buddy of mine and I used to converse in Clouseau. So, I looked up some Clouseau clips and I have shared a collection of Outtakes with you in this post.

Here is to laughs :)

Paying attention

I took the photographs in this post today, Friday, October 13th, 2017.
The reason to take the photo was that I was captivated by the effect of sunlight on the houseplant and the shadows cast.

After taking some photos, I combined a couple to make the one pictured below.
If you look at the rest of the photos in this post, you can easily figure out which photos went into the making of the collage first photo.

The careful eyed one will catch the kitty sleeping behind the plant, basking in warmth of the Fall sunlight. Some nice shadows cast by the window and the plants in this photo too.

Close-up of Rambo showing off his nice soft, luxurious tummy, enjoying the afternoon sun.
Last, but not the least, the houseplant's leaves and shadows they cast.

The things that we see when we pay attention. I mean exactly that. I am sure I have looked at these houseplants several times before, but didn't quite see them, if you know what I mean.

It helps to slow the unnecessarily hurried mind and go in the slow lane sometimes. Or even be still. Right here, right now.

Learning to fly?

A recent visitor who clung on to my truck's window from home till I got to work.

Talk about perseverance. I drove at 55 mph for about 2 miles on the service road. Rest of the places, I was driving at about 40. Total distance covered 6 miles.

When I got to work, I gently removed my little friend from the window using a little rag that I had in the vehicle and placed him in a flowerbed.
I did not know if he was learning to fly or he/she was long for this world at that point in time.

It was during my morning Tea that I saw my wife's text alerting me of Tom Petty's passing.
Favorite of many a music fan.

I will leave you with the one of my favorite songs by Tom Petty.

Adios for now.
